So my mother got a wild hair and decided to move to Texas with my grandparents for a little while. Not permanent, but long enough that we needed to drive some of her stuff down and she doesn't have a return ticket yet. So last Friday we packed up the "necessities" and drove to Texas. With some few minor bumps along the way we arrived safe and in one piece Saturday night with the car in one piece and no speeding tickets (barely). I decided that since it took so long to get there I would at least spend two days there before I flew home on Tuesday.
Sunday we went from Dallas to Austin to see my uncle team rope. It was a lot of fun. The only bad part was I wasn't anticipating going to a such an event so in my chucks and hoodie I stood out like a sore thumb even though I've been to plenty and am what I call a mix of country and city girl.
Uncle Lane getting ready...
Uncle Lane off....
And a successful run. They got both the head and the heals. I don't remember their time though.
Aunt Taunya and cousin Sierra. Taunya is like the rest of the Roberts clan, she avoids pictures at all costs. Everyone fights over who gets to take the pictures, that way they don't have to be in them.
We even got to see some really cute two week old puppies. I wish I could have brought them home, but I don't think Jared would have been too happy about that.

I didn't bring my camera, it just seemed like one more thing to lose. So everything was taken with my phone. If I get any others from the trip taken by others I will post them.
It was a great trip. I'm really tired though. I'm glad to be home but will miss my mom.
