Jared....Oh, Jared

So Jared had a spur of the moment surgery this morning. He's been avoiding having his deviated septum fixed his whole life because all he has heard is that it's the most painful thing you can go through. Well, his co-worker had the surgery done a few months ago and convinced him to have it done. So we decided we would hurry and have it done while we are still on my insurance with the State. Jared went to see the doctor on Monday and he said he didn't have openings until mid to late June, but he did have one on Friday. So Friday it was. We got to LDS hospital surgical center early this morning and got right in for surgery. Everything went well. Once Jared woke up I went back to see him. Well, for those of you who don't know...I pass out very easily, especially when it comes to blood and guts etc. Well leave it to me to pass out while the nurse is explaining to me worse case scenarios. Next thing I know everyone was forgetting Jared and giving me juice, a cold cloth, and an oxygen mask. haha. I felt so bad. Luckily my mother-in-law was there and saved the day. She stayed with him through the rest of recovery while I went back into the waiting room and recovered myself. She was even wonderful enough to stay with him at our house while I ran some errands like picking up prescriptions etc. Anyway, that was my crazy day. And a warning to all: if any emergency occurs that involves blood, don't consider me reliable and useful. Oh, and Jared is doing really well. He's very happy to be "forced" to play video games all weekend.
