The reasons why I haven't blogged since I've been home are many. Between work, school, church stuff, and surgery on my foot, I've been busy to say the least. Below I've listed what I've been up to in no particular order. The last I saved for those of you who have strong stomachs. I've had many people ask to see my foot during the different stages of recovery. I've never understood why, because I'm usually the one who passes out at gross bloody stuff, but for those weirdos out there, I've posted pictures. Other than the foot surgery, life is great. Busy, but great!
First, well actually last because it was today, Floyd got his annual summer haircut. I'm pretty sure we will both be happier. He won't be as hot and I won't have to vacuum up hair every 10 minutes.

I have to blog about the first boat ride of the season. Unfortunately, because of a late summer, it was a late first ride, and very cold. None of us got in, but there really isn't anything like riding on the boat. We sure love it!

The curse of the foot. I hate my left foot. I've had problems with it for as long as I can remember. I've especially had a problem with plantar warts.....gross....I know. I've done EVERYTHING there is to get rid of them. Everyone always says, "My so-and-so had one and they just did this and it worked". Well, nothing worked for me. I even went as far as to have bleomicen (spelling?) treatments, which is what they often times will give cancer patients, injected into them for 2 years.....didn't work....it actually made them worse. So, I finally just said enough was enough and had them removed, well, the biggest one removed. There wasn't enough skin to stitch up if I had them all taken off at once, so this is round one of hopefully only two.

| before - the largest one was larger than a quarter. |

| A few days ago, approx. 4 weeks after surgery. |
Let me just tell you it sucks. The first night I thought I would be tough and not take the pain meds he offered me. I could totally do it on Motrin.......HAHAHAHAHA. The next day, when I saw him so he could re-wrap it, after being in so much pain that I didn't sleep all night, I decided to take him up on those pain meds he offered. As you can see from the last picture, there are more to come off, 5 more small ones. Hopefully they won't be as bad. I can finally wear flip flops again, but if I walk or stand for too long my foot swells and hurts. So please don't ask me to do anything labor intensive, I split the stitches open about two weeks into it by pushing myself too hard, and I'm not going to do that again.
Well, I better get back to my school work, bleh. I hope all is well with everyone!
