More Adventures...

I'm choosing to use the word adventure instead of trial in my attempt to stay positive about more changes in our lives. Jared got laid off last Wednesday. No fun. We weren't expecting it. Houston has been a city full of trials for us. Luckily Sam was born here. So, many prayers of others are being answered and we are coming home! We are actually pretty excited about it. We can't wait to be back home. I never imagined I would miss Utah so much. I never realized how much it really is "home" until we left. We had a difficult time coming back to Houston after we were in Utah for mom's funeral. We just wanted to stay there. So we get to go back. We are hoping to be back by Thanksgiving. Our life seems to be so full of "adventure". Who knows what life will bring us next. For now Jared will finish up his masters degree in March and we will just take life as it comes.
We were sent to Houston to take care of mom. I knew that from the moment she got sick. There is no where else we could have done what we did and care for her like we did here except for Houston. I'm grateful we could be here for her. We have met some incredible people here. We will miss the people of Houston, but there are many things I won't miss. I won't miss the humidity and my out of control hair. I won't miss the unbearable summer heat. I won't miss the traffic. And most of all I won't miss the critters and cockroaches! I will miss the winters, the delicious food on every corner, and most of all the wonderful people.
On a much happier note, Sam is 4 months old! Oh my goodness I can't believe it! He's the most amazing little thing. I love his smile and his giggle is the best thing I've ever heard. We can't wait to be around family more and for Sam to be around his cousins.
He loves to smile and giggle. He loves to watch people and especially loves to follow Bella around. He roles over both ways and is so strong. At 4 months he's 17 lbs 10.5 ounces (88%). 25.5 inches long (68%). And his head is 17 (90%). We love him!
